"Morning Eclipse"

The sun arose this morning

with you fresh on my mind. 

Is hope of our tomorrows

so easy yet to find?

Dew was on the  leaves

Cool and sharp the air

I trusted you were someplace,

but did not quite know where

I knew my feelings were the same

They had never waivered

Every thought for you within

I had always savoured

I felt within a sense of peace

and hope within my grasp

not a fear to guard my heart

with padlock and a hasp

You know the combination

and hold the magic key.

So when we once again rejoin

then we shall blissful be.
